The Digital Pound Foundation (DPF) is delighted to announce the launch of its Use Case Working Group co-led by Andrew Dare, CGI, and William Lorenz, DPF Expert Contributor, and would like to invite existing – and new – DPF members to participate. This is a practical Working Group looking to uncover real-world use cases for a digital Pound that will be valuable to UK citizens.

DPF Use Case Working Group Co-Leads: Andrew Dare of CGI, and William Lorenz, Expert Contributor for the Digital Pound Foundation

The Working Group will begin by defining the universe of possible use cases and quickly progress to focus on leading opportunities, which will be fully worked up with the intention for members to build actual demonstrations and proof-of-concept services. All of our work will be backed by the power of the DPF network, hosting sessions with regulators, banks and other stakeholders held as necessary.

If you are interested in joining this exciting new Working Group, and have yet to join the DPF, please contact us for further information. If you would like to learn more about the use cases and applications of a digital Pound, the DPF is also holding a webinar on this topic, entitled “What is a digital Pound really useful for?”, open to the general public, on 26 January 2023 at 4pm GMT.
