We are pleased to announce that Blockchain for Europe (BC4EU), the membership organisation for companies driving innovation, integrity and empowerment through blockchain, has joined the Digital Pound Foundation as a new strategic partner.
Based in Brussels, BC4EU works with policymakers, academics and its member companies to develop a European regulatory framework to support and promote blockchain-based innovation.
As a strategic partner, the firm will collaborate with the DPF on areas of mutual interest with respect to the emergence and development of public and private forms of digital money. In particular, the DPF and BC4EU will focus on policy and regulatory developments in different jurisdictions, exploring geo-political and monetary implications associated with new forms of digital money, including CBDCs and stablecoins.
Both parties will further benefit from exposure to each other’s member communities and wider networks with respect to participation in educational and thought leadership events, working groups, roundtables and other activities. The DPF will benefit particularly from building relationships and through greater integration with the wider international community of industry groups and service providers.
Robert Kopitsch, Secretary General, Blockchain for Europe: “We are pleased to be collaborating with the Digital Pound Foundation and providing mutual support in activities around policy and regulatory developments and with respect to the broader agenda of promoting greater understanding and acceptance of digital technologies and assets.”
Jannah Patchay, Executive Director and Policy Lead, Digital Pound Foundation: “We welcome Blockchain for Europe joining the Digital Pound Foundation as a strategic partner, and look forward to collaborating with them on areas of mutual focus and priority, such as global regulatory developments. Through collaboration and partnership with other industry bodies like BC4EU, we can build a diverse, effective and competitive ecosystem for new forms of digital money that has the potential to be far more powerful than the sum of its component parts.”
